In mid March of 2006 our quartet started as four guys, from the Narragansett Bay Chorus, who got together to perform at minor gigs around the Providence area. At the time, we called ourselves Second Nature and just enjoyed performing for those who wanted to hear us sing. Towards the end of Summer 2006 we decided to register our quartet to possibly compete in the divisional contest in March 2007. We quickly found out that another quartet in the society was named Second Nature and so we changed our name to Jones & Company after our lead Jamie Jones.
As we prepared for upcoming gigs as well as the divisional contest we had no idea of where we stood among other quartets in the area. On March 10th, 2007 we took the stage for only our second time as a quartet and, to our surprise, came in first at the Patriot Divisional Quartet Contest. As we look to the future we can only hope to improve as a quartet and put on the most entertaining performance we can for those who are watching. We thank our family, friends and everyone who has been supporting Jones & Co. on this fun and exciting journey!
